The What

Reckless were approached by the Hatchbag Company, who were looking to improve the performance and sales on their website. Key metrics were to increase brand exposure, traffic and revenue.

As with all e-commerce sites, the key to increasing revenue was to improve search engine visibility and on site customer experience.

The Why

Although the old site had been built on the solid Magento platform; Reckless identified that there were a range of factors that made for poor user experience and in turn was having a negative impact on conversions.

Previous SEO and PPC campaigns were underperforming and could be worked much harder to bring home the bacon.


The How

Reckless set about defining SEO, PPC and Conversion Rate Optimisation strategies.

The SEO approach involved site architecture and optimisation improvements, alongside a solid content marketing and distribution strategy.

PPC was focused around Google Search campaign profitability, implementation of new Google Shopping campaigns and Remarketing on the Google Display network.

With CRO, Reckless reinvented the checkout process to maximise conversion and average order value.

Reckless also developed a solid social media presence for The Hatchbag Company on a number of platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. In addition, updating the website frequently with blog updates.
